River Forest, IL - The Dominican University department of athletics is pleased to announce the addition of
Vickie Stathopoulos to the University's full-time staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Stathopoulos comes to Dominican with previous collegiate athletic training experience, interning as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Lubbock Christian University during the 2019-20 academic year. At Lubbock Christian, she provided healthcare to the Chaparrals student-athletes during practices and games while serving as the primary trainer for men's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track & field and cheerleading.
"I am very excited to start this new position with Dominican University." said Stathopoulos. "I am looking forward to growing in my career while working with my wonderful colleagues and of course, the student-athletes."
Stathopoulos' earned clinical experience as an athletic trainer by interning with Midwest Orthopedics under the team physician for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox in addition to spending time in the University of St. Francis athletic training office and at ATI Physical Therapy. She also gained hours at various local high schools, including Downers Grove South, Plainfield South and Lincoln Way Central.
The Morton Grove native obtained her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Lewis University in May of 2019 where she volunteered as a student athletic trainer.
