Women's Soccer Back in National Tournament, Faces Hanover in First Round in St. Louis

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's women's soccer program matches up with Hanover College in the first round of the 2021 NCAA Women's Soccer Championships at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 in St. Louis, Mo.

DU, winners of both the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Regular and Postseason Titles, makes its third-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament, all of which have come since 2017 and under head coach Carlos Carrillo. Dominican has won four-straight NACC regular season and postseason titles.  

The Stars, if victorious, will face the winner of host-WashU and Beloit on Sunday, Nov. 14.

Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional sites Nov. 19 and 20 or 20 and 21. Winners of the four sectionals will advance to the national semifinals, which take place Dec. 3 at UNCG Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina, with UNC Greensboro and Greensboro Sports Commission serving as hosts.

The national championship game will be played Dec. 4. The Division III men's soccer national semifinals and championship games will also be held at UNCG Soccer Stadium Nov. 3 and Dec. 4.

Fans are encouraged to travel to St. Louis to root on the team or follow along with the links to live coverage and video on dustars.com. The Dominican community will also be giving the women's program a proper send-off on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 9:45 a.m. The send-off will occur in the circle outside the DU Campus Quad as the team embarks on their journey to St. Louis.
