RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's men's basketball team was defeated by Eureka College 92-77 on Wednesday evening in non-conference competition at home.
DU and Eureka matched each other with 36 first-half points, but a 56-point outburst from the Red Devils in the second half was too much for Dominican to overcome.
Jackson Smith dropped in a team-high 15 points, making two threes, adding six rebounds and eight assists.
Robert Taylor posted 14 points, six rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes of action.
John Duszynski knocked down four triples, scoring 12 points in his first start of the season.
Christopher Burel and
Chris Daniels II both finished with 10 points as DU had all five of its starters in double-figures.
Antonio Rodriguez scored six second-half points off the bench and
Jonathan Suarez added a three at the end-game buzzer.
