RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's women's volleyball team fell in four sets to Millikin University in its season-opener at home on Wednesday night. 
 
The Stars got off to a solid start with a convincing 25-14 opening set victory in front of their home crowd. However, the 17^th-ranked Big Blue stormed back, winning by scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-19, respectively, to claim the victory. 
 
Gabija Sinickaite and Emily Schellhase led DU offensively with 11 kills each while Maya Green chipped in seven. Adeleen Dunker paced the offense with 32 assists and racked up 12 digs, her first double-double of the season. Sarah Lychock contributed in several areas, posting four aces, three assists and 10 digs. 
 
DU will take on Grinnell and Wisconsin-Platteville on Friday, Sept. 3 to open up the Grinnell College Tournament. Live stats will be available via the links on dustars.com.
