RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Dominican University men's soccer team continued its dominance, winning its sixth-straight match in a 2-1 win over the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors.
In the first half, the Stars got on the board early in the 26th minute as
Nick Kowalczyk served up a beauty for
Vicente Castro for his fourth goal of the season.The Stars' defense held strong as they led 1-0 going into the half.
Wisconsin Lutheran evened up the match in the 73rd minute to make it 1-1. Castro then sealed the game in the 77th minute to give the Stars a 2-1 lead and eventually a victory.
The Stars out shot the Warriors 26-4 despite only scoring twice. The win moves the Stars to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in NACC play. The Stars return home on Wednesday to take on Rockford University at 4pm on West Campus Field.
