RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's women's basketball team was downed on the road by Marian University on Saturday afternoon in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action.
DU was down by five at the end of the first quarter, but stormed back with a 21-9 second quarter to take a 30-23 halftime advantage. Marian came out strong on the offensive end, scoring 44 second-half points to claim a 12-point victory, 67-55.
Alisha Markley posted 20 points, going 4-of-9 from distance, while grabbing eight rebounds and adding two assists.
Kamryn Woods and
Sophia Warner were also in double-figures with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Ashley Green grabbed a season-high nine rebounds. Mikala Wiliams had six assists and four rebounds.
