Aurora, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer team defeated Aurora University 4-0 on Wednesday.
The Stars enjoyed a terrific night, both offensively and defensively. Dominican got an early goal from freshman Mia Tauilahu, with an assist from fifth-year
Hannah Anderson. The 1-0 lead would hold into halftime.
In the second half, the Stars saw a scoring surge. Dominican's second goal of the night came from freshman
Natalia Lopez in the 60th minute, with an assist from junior
Alexandria Canarelli. That was followed up with a third goal in the 72nd minute from freshman
Sierra Rioux. It took just five minutes for fifth-year
Michaela Thawley to notch the fourth goal of the match for Dominican. The final goal was assisted by Rioux.
The Stars will look to continue their winning ways against Concordia-Wisconsin on Saturday. That match is on the road at 3:30 p.m.
