River Forest, Ill. - Alexandria Canarelli has been named the NACC defensive player of the week following her efforts in three matches this past week.

Canarelli was the anchor of a defense that kept a clean sheet in all three matches they played this past week. The Stars won all three matches against North Park, Rockford, and St. Norbert. The Stars have had top tier defensive play from Canarelli all season which is why they sit atop the NACC standings. This is the second player of the week awarded to the Dominican women's soccer team with Grace Larson winning earlier this season as the offensive player of the week.

The Stars play on the road tomorrow against Marian at 7:00 p.m.
