River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team fell in five sets to non-conference opponent Illinois College on Tuesday night.
The Stars came out firing on all cylinders, dominating the first two sets 25-19 and 25-16. Illinois College would regroup to win the third set 25-19.
The fourth set saw both team battle beyond the 25 point mark. After being tied 22-22 in the fourth, both teams would trade punches as the set featured four lead changes and four ties. Finally, Illinois College sealed the fourth set 28-26 to take the Stars to a final fifth set.
The Stars would go down early 4-1 in the fifth set before tying the set up at 6-6. Illinois College would go on to take control the rest of the way and secure the 15-8 victory.

Cassidy Spies led the Stars with a career and season high 20 kills and 4 blocks. Senior
Vicky Krzyszkowski added 11 kills of her own to go along with 6 blocks.
The Stars drop to 4-11 overall and are back in conference action on Friday when they face Concordia University Wisconsin.
