RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's third-ranked men's volleyball team pulled out a five-set victory over Concordia University Wisconsin on Friday evening in its Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) lid-lifter.
Down 2-1 in the match after the first three sets, the Stars showed their mental fortitude by claiming the final two sets to pull off the comeback victory. As a team, DU attacked at a .311 clip overall and had a .421 attacking percentage in the fifth set.
George Kougan paced the offense with 21 kills on 40 attempts, adding three aces, three blocks and seven digs.
Jacob Bush provided the exclamation point in the fifth set and finished with nine kills and a .500 attack percentage, adding five blocks.
Jack McGuire dished out 43 assists and racked up 10 digs for a double-double.
Defensively,
Danny Pacini led the way with 11 digs, adding two assists. DU finished with 46 digs while CUW had 35 in the match.
