RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's second-ranked men's volleyball program was defeated by 15th-ranked North Central College on Friday evening in a thrilling, five-set contest.
NCC started strong, winning the first two sets, but a resilient DU side took the next two frames, sending the match into a deciding fifth set. Both teams held leads in the final set, but a late push from North Central secured the Cardinals a 15-12 win in the set and the upset victory.
George Kougan led the way with 17 kills for the DU attack with
Lucas Eggers chipping in 10.
Jacob Bush had the highest attack percentage on the night, hitting .500 with seven kills and zero errors.
Danny Pacini led the defensive effort with 14 digs.
