RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's second-ranked men's volleyball program completed a home sweep of the Illinois Institute of Technology in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play on Wednesday evening.
DU's offense was firing on all cylinders, racking up a .483 attack percentage, as it cruised to a three-set victory by scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 25-14, respectively. The Dominican attack was led by
George Kougan, who posted 13 kills at a blistering .650 clip.
Trey Cowan supported the offensive effort with eight kills, adding 2.0 total blocks.
At the net, middle hitters
Mat Molloy and
Jacob Bush combined for six kill and each had four block assists.
Jack McGuire dished out 25 assists and added four kills at a .429 clip. DU, as a team, had 11.0 blocks and led IIT in every major statistical category.
