RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's softball program used three seventh-inning runs to pull off a 5-3 comeback victory over Concordia University Chicago in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play on Friday morning.
The Stars trailed 3-2 headed into their final at-bat, but scored three in the top of the seventh to gain a two-run advantage.
Allyson Dilday (13-2) finished off the final frame 1-2-3 to secure DU's ninth NACC win of the season.
Dilday pitched a complete game and struck out 11, scattering four hits and allowing three earned runs while walking four. Delany McRiley was 3-for-4 with an RBI to led the offensive effort.
Kailey Kirkwood provided the go-ahead RBI in the seventh, finishing the day 2-for-3 with a run scored.
Theresa Wilsterman also had two hits in three at-bats, adding an RBI and run scored.
