RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Dominican University's baseball program defeated Maranatha Baptist in non-conference play on Thursday evening at Wintrust Field.
DU scored nine runs in the opening inning on its way to 23-1 run-rule victory.
Tyler Ferraro (1-0) started as each pitcher for the Stars threw one inning.

Jeremey Davidson,
Dalton Rogers,
Chris Randel and
Carson Harvey all appeared in the game.
Garrett Wano was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and six RBI, including a grand slam.
Grayson Downing was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI.
Seth Hoffman and
Rocco Chiarito both each had two hits in the game.
Zach Rigdon also had a multi-hit performance, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored.
