RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Dominican University's softball program clinched a spot in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament this week, of which begins in Aurora on Thursday, May 5.

DU secured the six-seed in the 2022 NACC Tournament and will face off with third-seeded MSOE in the tournament's opening contest at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. In Dominican's last matchup with the Raiders, the Stars split with MSOE in their regular season doubleheader on Friday, April 29.
Dominican finished its regular season with a 26-12 overall record and 13-11 mark in conference play. The 26 wins are the most for the program since 2017 as are the 13 conference wins. On the offensive side,
Theresa Wilsterman and
Kailey Kirkwood both rank inside the top-7 in the NACC in batting average with averages of .449 and .432, respectively. In the circle,
Allyson Dilday sits tied-four in the NACC with 14 wins, holding a 14-7 overall record and 2.67 ERA with 133 strikeouts in 123.1 innings pitched. Additionally,
Emma Woodhouse's three saves are tied for the most in the NACC.
The tournament format is a double-elimination with a winner's and consolation bracket. The top-two seeds, Concordia-Wisconsin and Aurora, have secured first-round byes. MSOE and DU is the 3 vs. 6 matchup while fourth-seeded Benedictine will take on fifth-seeded Lakeland in the other opening round tilt.
