Stars Blowout Warriors on Homecoming

River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer team dominated Wisconsin-Lutheran College 9-1 on Saturday.

The homecoming match saw nothing but goal after goal for the Stars. The scoring got started right away with four unanswered first-half goals for Dominican. Freshman Natalia Lopez, juniors Alexandria Canarelli, Grace Larson, and senior Regan Coxon each contributed a goal. Wisconsin-Lutheran would get on the board with a goal in the 24th minute, but then the Stars extended their lead to 5-1 at halftime following a goal by senior Hannah DiSilverio.

The second half saw the Stars add onto their lead with four more goals. DiSilverio notched her second goal of the game as well as fifth year Michaela Thawley who also added two goals. DiSilverio then wrapped up her stellar Homecoming performance with a hat trick goal.
