River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team fell in a non-conference match-up against North Central College on Saturday night.
The visiting Cardinals proved to be too much as the Stars would fall in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-23, and 25-22.
After a rough first set, the Stars would bounce back taking the Cardinals 22-23 score before a run by North Central closed out the second set. In the third set, Dominican would battle to a 22-22 score before another late run by North Central closed out the game.
Offensively, the Stars were led by senior
Vicky Krzyszkowski with 6 kills and sophomores
Mia Febles and
Maya Green with 5 kills a piece. Green helped the defensive effort with 3 blocks of her own.
Dominican drops to 4-7 overall and are back in action next Tuesday in a non-conference match-up against Augustana. Game time is set for 7:00pm in River Forest.
