Rockford, Ill. - The Dominican University men's soccer team took on Rockford University on the road and secured a 2-0 victory.
Rockford and Dominican played a scoreless half with both teams unable to find the back of the net. The Stars out-shot the Regents 11-3 but the score remained 0-0.
The second half proved to be the difference as
John Cronnolly would connect on a penalty kick to give the 1-0 edge in favor of the Stars in the 51st minute. It wouldn't be long after that Cronnolly would score his second goal of the game, his tenth of the season, and make to 2-0 and solidify the win.
The Stars now move to 7-1-1 on the season and 3-1 in the NACC. The Stars await a showdown with St. Norbert on Saturday in DePere, Wisconsin.
