River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's soccer team took down CCIW foe Elmhurst University 2-1 on Wednesday night.
The game would remain scoreless until a Bluejay goal in the 22nd minute gave Elmhurst the advantage 1-0.
The Stars responded quickly in the second half as
John Cronnolly would score his second goal of the season to knot the score a 1-1. In the 53rd minute, Cronnolly would connect with his second goal of the game which proved to be the difference and give the Stars a 2-1 advantage in the 53rd minute.
The Dominican defense prevailed the rest of the way giving the Stars their second win the season.
The Stars move to 2-0-1 on the year and are back in action Saturday when they take on Wheaton College at 12:00pm on West Campus Field.
