Elmhurst, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team took on Elmhurst in a road non-conference match-up. The Stars would drop the match 3-2 as Elmhurst rallied down 2-0 to secure the victory. 

The Stars took the first two sets 25-22, 25-19 as Maya Green and Cassidy Spies led the attack with 7 and 4 kills respectively. The Bluejays would gain the momentum back as the rally proved too much for the Stars and secured the next two sets 25-22, 25-20.

In the fifth set, the Bluejays took an early 4-0 lead before the Stars responded and rallied to get with two, leveling the score at 8-6. Elmhurst's defense responded as they only allowed the Stars two more points and take the fifth and final set 15-8. 

Emily Schellhase along with Spies led Dominican with 12 kills a piece. The Stars fall to 2-2 on the season as they look ahead to take Knox College on Saturday for a 10:00am start in Galesburg.
