River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team hosted Marian University (WI) on Saturday. This was the first home game of 2023 for the Stars.

Dominican: 62
How it Happened:
-The Stars won the turnover battle 16-15, and outscored Marian on points off turnovers.
-DU shot 43% from the field in the first half, while holding Marian to just 29% from the field.Â
-Dominican found themselves leading 39-30 at halftime.Â
-The Stars struggled to score in the second half, just making 27% of their shots and 11% of their threes.
-Dominican shot just 5 free throws and made 4 of them. Marian shot 21 and made 15 of them.

-Freshman K
ameron Goodman had a season-high scoring night with 19 points.

Toni Hayes and
Mariangely Velez were both in double-figures for rebounding.
-Junior
Kamryn Woods was solid defensively and led the team in steals and blocks.
