River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team hosted Blackburn College on Thursday.

How it Happened:
-Dominican dominated the first set 14 kills and just 2 errors compared Blackburn's 7 and 5.
-The Stars won the first set 25-15.
-DU changed up their lineup in the second set and fell behind.
-Dominican came back to tie the set at 25 a piece but couldn't close it out and lost 27-25.
-The Stars had a very strong third set to get back on track with a match-high 15 kills.
-DU won the third set to go up 2-1, 25-16.
-Dominican carried that momentum into the final set and capitalized on Blackburn's 11 errors to earn a 25-11 win.

Cassidy Spies continued to serve well leading the Stars in aces while also having a match-high 15 kills.
-Freshman
Kathryn Ksiezak had a breakout performance at the net with career highs in kills, digs and blocks. She led the match with 4 blocks.
-Junior
Olivia Mendell contributed offensively and defensively with 26 kills and 2 blocks.
