Eureka, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team traveled to Eureka College on Tuesday.

DU: 52

How it Happened:
-Dominican had their best defensive quarter in the first allowing just 11 points.
-The Stars offense struggled making just 2 of 8 shots and DU trailed 11-9 after the first period.
-Dominican sophomore
Kameron Goodman and senior
Mackenzie Coleman each drained a three-pointer in the second period and went into halftime down 27-21.
-The Stars were a perfect 4 for 4 from the line in the third period but fell further behind as they trailed 43-33 going into the final period.
-DU easily had their best quarter in the fourth as they shot 43 percent from the field and scored 19 points in the quarter.
-Dominican's comeback ultimately fell just short as they dropped the game 57-52.
Shining Stars:
-Goodman led DU in scoring and free throws made in the game.
-Senior
Kamryn Woods crashed the boards and ended up with a season-high 7 rebounds.
-Freshman
Aya Deiri did a little bit of everything while leading the team in minutes. She had 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
