How it Happened:
-Dominican started off slow in the first quarter shooting 2-15 from the field and allowing 15 points to the Vikings
-The Stars offense continued to struggle on the offensive side of the ball shooting 22% from the field in the second quarter.
-Dominican went into halftime down 35-14, after Sophomore
Payton Allen hits a buzzer beater three.
-The Stars came out after halftime shooting better, hitting 50% of their shots in the third quarter. The main difference in this third quarter was North Park grabbing eight offensive rebounds compared to the Stars zero.
-DU won the 4th quarter 15-12 and shot 41% from the field.
-Dominican only shot two free throws in the duration of the game. North Park shot 17.
Shining Stars:
-Frshman
Aya Deiri was tied with team high in points finishing with 8. Deiri also collected 7 rebounds for DU.
-Sophomore
Payton Allen had 8 points in her debut this season. Going 2-2 from behind the arc.
-Sophomore
Mariangely Velez was all over the glass collecting 9 total rebounds. 4 of them on the offensive side.
-Sophomore
Kameron Goodman collected 9 rebounds also, 8 of them on the defensive end.

Dominican University women's basketball team will be back in action Tuesday night when they host the Blue Jays of Elmhurst University. Tip-off will be at 7:00p.m.
