Watertown, Wis.- The Dominican University women's basketball team went on the road to face off against Maranatha Baptist University.

How it Happened:
-The Stars came out firing on all cylinders in the first quarter. Being led by Freshman
Kaitlyn Milison who went 3-3 from the field and scored 7 points in the quarter. DU scored 20 points on 45% shooting as a team.
-The second quarter came to a halt offensively for both squads. DU only put up 10 points on 29% shooting, but MBU only scored 9 points on 27% shooting.
-The Stars went into halftime with a 30-20 lead.
-Dominican found their rhythm again after halftime scoring 19 points in the third quarter. Freshman
Lia Saunders led the way in the quarter scoring 5 points on 2-3 shooting.
-DU had their highest scoring quarter in the fourth. Where the Stars put up 21 points on 55% shooting, and was lead by Freshman
Laila Jones who shot a perfect 4-4 from the field and collected 8 points all in the fourth.
Shining Stars:
-Freshman
Kaitlyn Milison had career high 19 points in the matchup. Milison also collected 7 rebounds which was another career high.
-Freshman
Laila Jones went a perfect 7-7 from the field in the game. Jones put up career high 14 points.
-Freshman
Lia Saunders did a little bit of everything on the court tonight. Her stat line was 7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals.
-Senior
Kamryn Woods had a team high 5 assists and hit her only three she attempted.

Dominican University women's basketball team will be back in action Saturday afternoon. Where the Stars will host the Concordia University Chicago Cougars as round one of the division street rivalry this season. Tip-off will be at 1:00 p.m.
