Box Score Milwaukee, Wis. - The Dominican University men's soccer team earned their 22nd conference tournament title with a 1-0 victory over MSOE on Saturday in the NACC Championship.

How it Happened:
-Dominican and MSOE were clearly two even teams and that was evident throughout the match.
-DU came up with 5 shots and MSOE also had 5 shots in the first half.
-The Stars couldn't get any shots on goal in the first half but their defense held strong to force a 0-0 tie going into the break.
-In the 58th minute, junior Oscar Montejano put away the biggest goal of the season so far for DU on an assist from junior John Cronnolly to put the Stars up 1-0.
-Dominican's defense would have to hold off 12 MSOE second-half shots but they were up for the challenge.
-Sophomore Oscar Cerritos and the Dominican defense would not concede and they kept the ever-important clean sheet to win the 2023 NACC championship.
Shining Stars:
-Montejano was the hero with his 58th minute goal that put DU up for good.
-Cerritos made 7 crucial saves to preserve the lead and keep MSOE off the scoreboard.
-Cronnolly's perfect set up for the Montejano goal ended up being the only shot on goal in the match for DU.

What's Next:
Dominican University men's soccer will compete in the NCAA regionals after winning the 2023 NACC title. DU will travel to Kenyon College for the first round. That match will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday.
