Galesburg, Ill.- The Dominican University men's basketball team went on the road for the opening night to face off against Knox college.

How it Happened:
-The Stars shot 31% in the first half and only 7% from behind the arc.Â
-DU fell behind early but clawed themselves back into the game in the first half with 14-3 run in the middle part of the first half.Â
-Dominican was down 37-30 after the first halfÂ
-Dominican improved their scoring in the second half,making 41.9 from the field and 16% from downtown.
-The Stars had 31 points off of the bench, and scored 19 points off of turnovers.Â
-Knox dominated the points in the paint battle 46-28.Â

-JuniorÂ
Daniel Nennig was tied with the team high 11 points.Â
-Junior
Camron Scott collected 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Scott was on the defensive end also with 3 steals and a block.
-Senior
Jacob Riedl was close to a double-double scoring 9 points and collecting 8 rebounds.
-Junior
Andre Bennett led the Stars with 3 assists.Â

What's Next:
The Dominican University men's basketball team will be back in action November 18th. The Stars will be in the Igini for the first time in 2023-2024 season. Where they will face off against Eureka College. Tip-off is at 3:15 p.m.
