Chicago, Ill. - The Dominican University baseball team went on the road Sunday afternoon looking to get back in the win colum against the Scarlett Hawks of IIT.

How it Happened:
-IIT got on the board first by scoring 5 runs on 5 hits in the bottom of the first inning.
-The Scarlett Hawks added one more in the 2nd inning with a hit.
-Stars get on the board in the top of the fourth inning with Junior Matthew Galdi delivering and RBI single.
-DU chipped into the lead in the next inning by Sophomore
CJ Kalekas reaching on an error.
-Illinois Tech got the lead to six in the bottom of the sixth by scoring 2 runs on a hit.
-IIT got 3 runs on a three run homerun in the bottom of the seventh inning.
-
Garrett Wano hit his seventh homerun of the year in the top of the 8th. Making the score 11-3 IIT.
The Scarlett Hawks got a run in the bottom half of the 8th on two hits.

How it Happened:
-IIT got on the board early in the bottom of the first inning with a run on two hits.
-The Scarlett Hawks added 5 runs in the bottom of the second on two hits.
-Stars got on the board in the top of the third inning with Junior
Grayson Downing driving an RBI single, and Wano followed up with his own RBI single.
-Senior
Keegan Brandt hit his first collegiate career homerun making the score 6-3 in the Scarlett Hawks favor.
-IIT responded right away in the bottom fourth by scoring 3 runs on 3 hits.
-Illinois Tech added two more in the bottom of the fifth on one hit.
-Scarlett Hawks continue to score in every inning with a run on a hit.
-Dominican chipped into the lead with Wano hitting his second homerun of the day and eighth of the year. Than Junior Junior
Anthony Nalbono brought in a run by an error.
-DU added three more runs in the top of the 9th. The first run coming off a Galdi walked. Brandt drove in the second run of the inning with an RBI single. Nalbono drove in the last run of the inning by grounding out.

Garrett Wano led the Stars in game two going 2-5 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored.
