De Pere, Wis. - The Dominican University softball team traveled to St. Norbert College on Saturday for a doubleheader.

How it Happened:
-Dominican was ready to finally get back on the field and their offense showed up in the second inning.
-DU saw two runs score with a run on a groundout and a run on a sac-bunt.
-The Stars were led in the circle by junior
Kayla Faber-Cournane who pitched all 7 innings without allowing a run to score.
-Dominican extended their lead in the top of the seventh with an RBI single from junior
Makayla Barnes.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Theresa Wilsterman had two hits including a double.
-Barnes had the lone RBI hit for the Stars.
-Faber-Cournane was locked in with 6 strikeouts and just 6 hits allowed.

How it Happened:
-The Stars pitching picked up right where it left off with sophomore
Emma Woodhouse in the circle.
-She continued the scoreless streak and went 7 innings without allowing a run.
-Dominican cashed in a run in the fifth inning with a groundout RBI.
-DU then added an insurance run in the sixth on a wild pitch.
Shining Stars:
-Wilsterman added another multi-hit performance.
-Woodhouse had 6 strikeouts and also contributed the lone RBI for the Stars.
-Freshman
Paytin Salfi was the only player for the Stars with an extra-base hit.
