Montgomery, Ill - The Dominican University softball team played against #2 MSOE in the 2023 NACC Softball Tournament.
Results:
Dominican: 3
MSOE: 2
How it Happened:
-DU got off to a quick start and got on the board in the very first inning.
-It was junior
Theresa Wilsterman who had the big hit with two scoring on a double.
-MSOE was able to answer in the bottom half to tie the game at 2-2.
-Junior
Kayla Faber-Cournane was locked in and didn't allow a single earned run in the game.
-The Stars would scratch across what would be the game winning run on a fielders choice in the third inning.
Shining Stars:
-SeniorÂ
Delaney McRiley was the only Stars player with a multi-hit performance.
-Wilsterman drove in two of the Stars' three runs and had a double.
-Faber-Cournane pitched a complete game allowing no earned runs and only allowing 6 hits.

What's Next:
The Dominican University softball team will play either #1 CUW or #4 Aurora tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. If the Stars win, they will advance to the NACC Championship.
