Montgomery, Ill - The Dominican University softball team played against #1 Concordia-Wisconsin in the 2023 NACC Softball Tournament.

Dominican: 3
CUW: 5
How it Happened:
-DU fell behind early with 3 runs scoring in the bottom of the second and an additional run coming in the third.
-The Stars were able to scratch across a run just before a rain delay that lasted about an hour.
-Following the rain delay, Dominican's offense came alive in the sixth. Freshman
Ryley Davis drove in two runs with a double and the Stars trailed 4-3.
-In the bottom of the sixth, CUW got one of the two runs back to extend the lead to 5-3.
-Dominican was unable to score in the seventh and their loss broke a 6-game win streak.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore
Liliana Santoyo and junior
Theresa Wilsterman were the only Stars to reach twice.
-Davis had the big hit with two runs scoring on her RBI double.
-Sophomore
Hanna Voegtle pitched in relief and only allowed 1 run in 3 innings.
