River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University softball team traveled to Concordia Chicago to finish the regular season.
Game 1 Results:

How it Happened:
-Both teams were held scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning when DU got on the board on a hit by pitch by Senior Theresa Wilsternan. Stars added one more by an RBI double by Senior
Kailey Kirkwood.
-Dominican added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. The first run was scored off an RBI single by Sophomore Lily Santoyo. Stars added a run on a wild pitch with Santoyo scoring. The final run was on another wild pitch with Senior
Geneva Pollman scoring. Making the score 5-0.

Geneva Pollman was 2-4 with a run scored.
-Senior Delaney McRIley went 1-3 with an RBI and a walk.
-Woodhouse went 7 scoreless innings and collected 6 strikeouts.

Dominican: 9

How it Happened:
-DU continued the momentum from the first game by scoring four runs in the first inning. Stars got the runs on a grand slam by Kirkwood. Kirkwood's first homerun of the year and third homerun of her DU career.
-Dominican added two runs in the second. By scoring a run off an RBI double off the bat of Pollman. The Second run was brought in by an RBI ground out by Senior Makalya Barnes
-CUC got on the board for the first time in the afternoon by scoring a run on two hits in the top of the third.
-Cougars continued to add runs in the fourth inning by scoring four runs on one hit, but took advantage of four DU errors. Making the score 6-5 Stars.
-Dominican brought the lead back up to three runs by scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth. The first from a walk by Wilsterman, and the second by an RBI groundout by Kirkwood.
-DU added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth on an error by the cougars.

Makayla Barnes went 3-4 with two runs scored and one RBI.

Geneva Pollman went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and one RBI
