River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team hosted Eureka College for their first home match of the season on Tuesday.

DU: 3
How it Happened:
-Dominican came out hot and played with a lot of energy in the first set.
-The Stars had 10 kills compared to just 7 for Eureka.
-DU won the first set 25-15.
-Dominican lost the momentum in the second and had to battle after trailing most of the set.
-The Stars strung together some huge points down the stretch to squeak out a 26-24 set win.
-DU had one of their best sets of the season in the third, winning in convincing fashion 25-10.
-Dominican had just 3 errors compared to their opponent's 9.

Cassidy Spies once again led the Stars in kills.
-JuniorÂ
Olivia Mendell contributed in a variety of ways including leading team in assists and aces. She also contributed 5 digs.
-Senior
Maya Green led the team in aces as well as blocks and was a huge presence at the net.

What's Next:
The Dominican University women's volleyball team will host St. Norbert on Thursday for their homecoming match and the beginning of NACC play. That match is at 7 p.m.
