River Forest, Ill. -The Dominican University men's soccer team hosted the Spartans of Aurora University for their first conference matchup of the year.

How it Happened:
-Dominican was fighting from behind early with Aurora scoring goals in the 5th and 13th minute of the game.
-This is how the first half would end with the Stars down 2-0. DU out shot AU 13 to 6 in the first half.
-Dominican got on the board in the 59th minute of the game when Junior
Matt Skorupa has the ball land at his feet during a corner.
-Stars kept the pressure on the Spartans and found the equalizer in the 85th minute of the game off of a set piece just outside the box. Junior Olek Melnyk was the one who found the back of the goal, but Fifth year
Vicente Castro delivered a beautiful ball.
-The game would end in a 2-2 tie.
-Dominican had 24 shots with 7 of them being on target, and had 14 corners in the match.
Shining Stars:
-Castro had 3 shots and an assist.
-Melnyk had 3 shots, 2 of them being on target including the game tying goal.
-Skorupa had 2 shots and 1 of them being on target. Which found the back of the goal.
-Junior
John Cronnolly tallied 13 shots but only 1 of them was on target.
-Freshman
Nicolas Leon played 86 strong minutes with 2 shots and both of them on target.
