River Forest, Ill.- The Dominican University women's soccer team hosted North Park University for their final non-conference matchup of the season.

How it Happened:
-Dominican played a very even match against their nearby opponent.
-The Stars had 5 shots and NPU had 6 in the first half.
-DU escaped unscathed after a penalty kick was awarded midway through the first half.
-Dominican then let up a goal in the 38th minute to fall behind 1-0.
-The Stars trailed 1-0 after halftime.
-DU picked up the intensity in the second half and was able to create 10 shots.
-The highlight of the match came from a spectacular corner kick goal from senior
Alexandria Canarelli.
-Canarelli curved a shot into the goal from the corner set-piece.
-Dominican's final chance came with just 36 seconds remaining as Canarelli once again set up for a set-piece strike but just barely missed the top corner.
-The Stars earned a 1-1 draw.
Shining Stars:
-Canarelli played all 90 minutes, scored the lone stars goal, and led the defense to a clean sheet in the second half.
-Sophomore
Natalia Lopez had 4 shots in the contest.
-Sophomore
Faith Richards had a great second half with 6 saves and no goals allowed.
