River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team hosted Elmhurst University on Tuesday.

EU: 3

How it Happened:
-Dominican was overpowered in the first set with just 6 kills compared to Elmhurt's 16.
-The Stars fell 25-10.
-DU couldn't overcome 7 second-set errors and lost 25-12.
-Dominican got some valuable playing time for younger players in the third set but fell 25-8.

Shining Stars:
-Senior Cassidy Spies led the Stars in kills and aces.
-Junior Olivia Mendell contributed offensively by leading the team in assists and defensively with 2 digs.
-Senior Emily Schellhase had the best match for the Stars on the defensive side with 4 digs.

What's Next:
The Dominican University women's volleyball team will travel to Lakeland College on Thursday as they resume NACC play at 7:00 p.m.
