Chicago, Ill. - The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Chicago to face off against the Scarlet Hawks of IIT.

How it Happened:
-Dominican and Illinois Tech played a back and fourth battle in the first half trading buckets.
-The Stars shot 34% from the field in the first half but shot 85% at the charity stripe.
-DU went into halftime with a one point lead. 31-30.
-Dominican allowed IIT to go on a 7-3 run to start off the half.
-Junior
Daniel Nennig ties the game back up at 38 with a layup.
-The Stars had the last run of the ball game going on a 11-3 run. Led by Sophomore
Joshua West.
-DU shot better in the second half, shooting 42% from the field, and 41% from behind the arc.
-Dominican put up 17 points of turnovers.

Joshua West was the leading scorer for DU with 23 points.
-Junior
Daniel Nennig was all over the floor with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
-Senior
Jacob Riedl was the team leading rebounder, with 6, and Riedl collected 8 points, along with 5 assists.

Ethan Worley was a big spark off the bench collecting 6 points off of 2 for 3 shooting from behind the arc.

The Dominican University men's basketball team will be on the road for the second straight game Saturday afternoon. When the Stars travel to Benedictine to face off against the Eagles. Tip-off will be at 4:15.
