Stars Lose Nail Biter on The Road

Box Score Lisle,Ill- The Dominican University men's basketball team traveled to Benedictine University to face off against the Eagles. 

Results:
Benedictine:76
Dominican:75

How it Happened:
-Dominican and Benedictine played an extremely close game with one another. 
-The Stars shot 41% from the field and 40% from behind the three point line. 
-DU went into halftime facing a 41-38 deficit. 
-The back and fourth battle continued between the Stars and Eagles. 
-Dominican had a 4 point lead with a minute left in the game. 
-Back to back buckets from BenU send DU to a 5-10 record. 
-DU shot better in the second half, shooting 57% from the field and 78% from the charity stripe. 

Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Joshua West continued his hot shooting scoring 21 points. West had 5 assists as well. 
-Junior Daniel Nennig shot 5-6 from the free throw line and finished with 11 points. 
-Senior Jacob Riedl had a good night recording a double double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

What's Next:
The Dominican University men's basketball team will return to the Igini Sports Forum Wednesday night to face off against Marian University. Tip-off will be at 7:00p.m.
