Quincy, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team traveled to Quincy University on Friday. This was the opening match of the season for the Stars in 2024.

Dominican: 0

How it Happened:
-Dominican struggled to get kills in the first set as they had just 5 compared to Quincy's 12.
-DU fell in the first set 25-20.
-The Stars had significantly more kills in the second set, but had 8 costly errors that led to them losing the set 25-21.
-Dominican had statistcally their best set in the third with 12 kills and just 6 errors but couldn't pull out a set-victory and lost 25-21.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Casey Goss started off strong by leading the Stars with 11 kills, 3 aces, and 8 digs.
-Junior
Owen Morrow set up his teammates with 23 assists and also had a block.
-Senior
Jarod Hesse contributed as well with 9 kills and a block.
