St. Louis, MO. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team traveled to Fontbonne University on Saturday.
Results:
Dominican: 3
Fontbonne: 1
How it Happened:
-Dominican had a clean first set with 17 kills and just 3 errors.
-DU set the tone by winning the first set 25-21.
-The Stars faltered a bit in the second set as they made a few too many errors and lost 25-17.
-Dominican bounced back with a match-high 18 kills in the third set to regain control and take a 2-1 lead.
-DU finished off Fontbonne in the fourth and final set with 11 kills compared to Fontbonne's 9 and won 25-18.
Shining Stars:
-JuniorÂ
Casey Goss continued a strong start to the season by leading the Stars in kills and adding 4 blocks and 2 assists.
-Junior
Owen Morrow had a solid performance setting up 47 kills in the match and contributing 10 digs.
-Sophomore
Michael Greco was dominant at the net and set a new career-high with 6 kills and 6 blocks.
