River Forest, Ill.- The Dominican University women's basketball team hosted Alverno College on Saturday.

How it Happened:
-The Stars began the game cold from the floor as they made just 27 percent of their first-quarter shots.
-DU trailed 11-9 after the first period.
-Dominican increased their field goal percentage 13 points and went into halftime trailing 24-21.
-The Stars and Inferno had an evenly matched third quarter with both teams scoring 14 points.
-DU outscored Alverno in the fourth quarter but it wasn't enough as Dominican fell 49-48.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Kameron Goodman once again led the team in scoring while contributing defensively in a big way with 6 steals.
-Freshman Aya Deiri played a team-high in minutes and scored in double figures.
-Senior Kamryn Woods also played a team-high in minutes and crashed the boards effectively with 10 rebounds and 8 points.

What's Next:
Dominican University women's basketball will be back at home as they host Edgewood College who is atop the NACC right now. That game will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
