River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's volleyball team hosted Fontbonne University on Saturday. This was the first match of a doubleheader for DU.
Results:
FBU: 0
Dominican: 3
How it Happened:
-Dominican was in charge all throughout the first match.
-The Stars started off even with Fontbonne with 11 kills for each team.
-DU had just 2 errors in the first set which was the difference in the 25-17 set-victory.
-Dominican had their best set in the second as they created 15 kills and had just 2 errors once again en route to a 25-16 victory.
-The Stars came from behind in third and final set and finished off FBU 25-23.
Shining Stars:
-Junior
Casey Goss had a career-high 21 kills the last time DU played FBU and once again led the Stars in kills this match.
-Sophomore
Michael Greco was the wall at the net for the Stars and he finished with a team-high 3 blocks.
-Senior
Jarod Hesse did a little of everything with 5 kills, 2 blocks, 2 assists, and 6 digs.
