Rockford, Ill.- The Dominican University women's basketball team traveled to Rockford University on Saturday.

Dominican: 48

How it Happened:
-The Stars had a terrific start to the game outscoring RU 17-11 in the first quarter.
-DU was red hot from the field making 7 of 13 attempts.
-Dominican's offense cooled off in the second quarter and they went into halftime down 26-24.
-The Stars continued to battle in a close third quarter in which DU made their fifth and sixth threes of the game.
-Dominican went into the fourth quarter trailing 40-36.
-The Stars couldn't muster up a fourth-quarter comeback and they lost 56-48.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Kameron Goodman played all 40 minutes and led the team in points, threes, and steals.
-Freshman Laila Jones was just a single rebound shy of being in double figures while recording a career-high 4 blocks.
-Senior Kamryn Woods was the main facilitator and led DU in assists and steals.
