River Forest, Ill- The Dominican University women's volleyball team hosted the Regents of Rockford University for the final game of the five game home stand.

How it Happened:
-Dominican carried the momentum from the sweep on Tuesday night to the match tonight and won the first set 25-19 with 15 kills and only 1 error in the set.
-Sophomore
Kathryn Ksiezak was spectacular in the first set earning 3 kills.
-DU was able to overcome an early 5-1 deficit in the set and win 25-22. The Stars had 13 kills in this set and 3 errors. Â Â Â
-Dominican got kills from multiple players in this set. Senior
Mia Febles led the way with 4 of them. Seniors
Melissa Schmidt and
Tanya De La Riva each had 3.
-The third set was a back-and forth battle between the two schools until the Stars had a big time block by Schmidt and Ksiezak to win the set 25-23. Â
-Junior
Ellery Shea found her stride in the set with 3 kills.

-Sophomore
Kathryn Ksiezak led the team in hitting percentage with .556 and it included 6 kills. Â Â Â Â

Mia Febles led the team in kills with 16 of them.
-Senior
Tanya De La Riva was all over the court with 10 kills, 12 digs and a service ace. Â
-SeniorÂ
Melissa Schmidt continued passing the ball perfectly picking up 34 assists. Schmidt also chipped in with 2 service aces and 11 digs. Â
-Freshman
Fabiana Pizzo had a breakout game picking up 8 digs and a service ace.
-Senior
Miriam Guler had 10 digs in the match. Â

The Dominican University women's volleyball team will travel on to Fond Du Lac, Wis. For a date with the Sabres of Marian University on Saturday afternoon. First serve will be at 12:00 pm.
