River Forest, Ill. – Graduate Student Sarah Grimmett of the Dominican University women's soccer team was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Women's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week respectively for the week ending October 20^th.

Grimmett, a Graduate Student Goal Keeper from Houston, Texas played in both matches this past week. In the first match she led the Stars to a 4-0 win over Edgewood. Sarah did not face a shot in the match. In the second match of the week Sarah kept her second clean sheet of the match making 4 saves and one of them from the penalty spot in a 2-0 victory of Wisconsin Lutheran.

Head Coach Carlos Carrillo responded to the player of the week honors by saying " I'm proud of Sarah and what she's been able to do for us this season, she keeps us in games and is deserving of this recognition"  

The Dominican University women's soccer team will be back in action Wednesday afternoon at West Campus Field, when the Stars host the Regents of Rockford University. Kick-off will be at 3:00pm.
