Chicago, Ill. – The Dominican University women's volleyball team traveled to Illinois Tech for a game against the Scarlet Hawks on Thursday night. The match up between the Stars and Scarlet Hawks have NACC tournament implications with both teams looking to make a late push for the tournament.

How it Happened:
-Dominican started off slow in the match losing the first set 25-20 and only picking up 7 kills in the set with 8 attacking errors.
-The loan positive for the Stars in the first set was Senior
Miriam Guler recording 5 service aces.
-DU was unable to find their grove in the second set and lost 25-20 once again. They only picked up 5 kills in this set.
-The Stars found a little momentum in the third set by picking up 10 kills, but fell 25-22.

Veronica Henkel led the Stars with 6 kills and 14 digs in the match.

Miriam Guler posted 7 service aces in the match.

What's Next:
The Dominican University women's volleyball team will travel to Mequon, Wis. For a match against the Falcons of Concordia Wisconsin who is tied for first in the NACC. First serve between Stars and Falcons will be at 12:00pm.
