River Forest, Ill. – The Dominican University women's volleyball team hosted the Raiders of MSOE for Alumni Reception day on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
-Dominican and MSOE battled back and forth in the first set, until the Stars won it 28-26. They had 14 total kills in the set.
-The Stars were led by Senior
Tanya De La Riva and Junior
Ellery Shea with 6 and 5 kills apiece in the set.
-DU used the momentum from the first set and carried into the second, with Dominican winning 25-17. They collected a game high 18 total kills in the set.
-Senior
Mia Febles came to life in the second earning 8 total kills in the set.
-MSOE found their stride in the third set winning 25-21. The Stars were still able to collect 13 total kills, but could not overcome 6 attacking errors.
-The Raiders kept their foot on the gas blanking DU 25-10 in the fourth set.
-In the fifth and final set Dominican competed all the way down to the end but fell 15-11.
-Junior
Veronica Henkel battled in the set earning 3 kills for the Stars.
Shining Stars:
-Senior
Tanya De La Riva led the Stars with 20 kills in the match. De La Riva also collected 17 digs and 2 service aces.
-Junior
Ellery Shea has continued her stride earning 15 kills.
-Senior
Mia Febles was third on the team in kills with 13 of them. Fables had a service ace along with the kills.
-Senior
Charlotte Hain had 20 digs for DU leading the team in that category.

Miriam Guler was third on the team in digs with 14 of them.

Melissa Schmidt collected a career high 46 assists in the game.
