Chicago, Ill. – The Dominican University women's soccer team traveled to Illinois Tech to face off against the Scarlet Hawks. In a big time match up in the NACC.

How it Happened:
-Illinois Tech got off on the right foot scoring the first goal in the 8
th minute of the game and just twenty seconds later scoring their second goal of the match.
-The Scarlet Hawks did not let up finding their third goal of the match just five minutes later.
-Dominican got on the board in the 27
th minute of the game when Junior
Mia Dosen scoring.
-The Stars faced a 3-1 deficit going into the break. DU only had one shot in the first half.
-Dominican was able to get an early second half goal with Graduate Student
Regan Coxon scoring from a penalty kick in the 48
th minute of the game. This making the score 3-2.
- Illinois Tech responded to the DU goal with another goal of their own six minutes later. Getting the Scarlet Hawks lead back to two goals.
-The Stars only had two shots on goal in the match.

Regan Coxon scored from the penalty spot for one of the two DU goals.

Mia Dosen scored her only shot of the match.

Ava Mascoe-Talbott led the Stars with two shots in the match.

The Dominican University women's soccer team will be back at West Campus Field on Saturday afternoon after back-to-back road games. The Stars will host the Sabres of Marian University at 2:45 pm on October 12
