River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican women's basketball kicked off the 2024-25 season at home on Friday night against the Red Devils of Eureka College.

How it Happened:
 The Stars played Eureka tight in the first frame. A three from Sophomore
Kaitlyn Milison and strong defensive play kept the Stars within 2.
 -DU had a hard time breaking Eureka's full-court press and struggled to match the offensive output of the Red Devils in the 2
nd.
 -The Stars went into halftime down 36-23.
 Dominican had their most efficient quarter shooting the ball in the third, going 8-14 for 57.14% from the field.
 DU sunk 6 free throws in the final frame but could not overcome their inability to take care of the ball, finishing with 39 turnovers.
-Eureka would claim an 80-52 victory.

Kaitlyn Milison led the Stars with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists in 23 minutes.

Lia Saunders scored 10 points and added 4 steals in a team-high 34 minutes.
