River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team traveled to Concordia Chicago on Wednesday.
Results:
Dominican: 49
CUC: 75
How it Happened:
-Dominican came out a bit flat in the first quarter making just 4 of 14 shots from the field.
-DU trailed 21-10 after the first period of play.
-The Stars had a solid quarter on the defensive end in the second period as CUC made just 26 percent of their attempts.
-Dominican went into halftime trailing 35-22.
-DU had an almost identical offensive output in the second period scoring 12 points.
-The Stars got hot in the fourth quarter making 38 percent of their attempts but it wasn't enough and they fell 75-49.
Shining Stars:
-Sophomore Kameron Goodman was the leading scorer for Dominican while also adding a team-high 8 rebounds.
-Senior Mackenzie Coleman did a great job facilitating the ball in her final road game of her career with 4 assists.
-Freshman Laila Jones was a force inside and blocked 3 shots.
